- Maintenance of explicit and uniform personnel policies and promotion policies

- Declaration of a sound policy from which potential offenders will deduce that they will receive no protection from the company

- Payments of compensation for concealing the offence and undertakings not to prosecute must be eliminated

- The offender should not be given the oppurtunity to resign (in order to avoid prosecution)

- Effective supervision must be implemented at all levels

- Thorough background screening of all potential employees

- Effective interna audits ~ very important that the presence of internal and external auditors, and therefore the deterrent effect and implementation of such control measures is well-known to all staff and business contacts.
